Hey guys. Just a heads up: iTunes seems to be serving up episode 19 again under the title of episode 21. I don't think it's just me.

Shame it all has to end but thanks for the hours of fun and interesting chat :)

[...] My thoughts are a bit cloudy at the moment around the panel’s subject, but if you’d like to hear more and can brave through a long podcast, I’d recommend listening to our special SXSW episode of Live From the 101.
Definately, Yui is awesome and Hinoi Team is always welcome. If there is video of the DS mario kart races then you just KNOW you have to put some Eurobeat to that.

Great interviews and commentaries and the mic didnt do too bad, i've heard worse.

So interesting how you stumble around the web and find stuff... got to this via:
1. digg, http://digg.com/design/Top_10_Most_Beautiful_Blog_Designs
2. the article, http://www.glennwolsey.com/2007/03/05/top-10-most-beautiful-blog-designs/
3. orderedlist.com, (the design that stood out to me. then look at that, i've been here b4, i use the feedburner wp plugin, so looked around the site some more)
4. orderedlist.com, http://orderedlist.com/articles/sidebar-creative
5. here.

Any way, was cool that you left the glitch in there. You guys were pretty funny to listen too.
You also dropped in a name I know, SitePoint, i'm subscribed to one of their newsletters see books advertised/launched all the time. To hear you guys talking about that as being authors was pretty cool.

From what I've seen I reckon you guys will go great, good luck :)

Good show guys. First time listener here. I've been very impressed by your individual work in the past and am looking forward to your future collaborations with much anticipation.

Bryan,
I'm glad you kept in the moments of udder panic when everything went sour. It made for a small chuckle or two.

Haha, well... lets just say Compost is cool but not like Shaun. Bryan, whats with your new version? It needs some padding... and Dan close your browser for a second. HAHA.

Anyway, great show, actually the only one I have listened from start to end so far, and I am subscibed haha. Good job this time around and can't wait to be a guest... *nudge* =P.

Glad you guys finally got some comments working up in this bitch. Great podcast!

Although, I think you both neglected to touch on the fact that Avalonstar also (amazingly) impacts people other than Bryan even. Take myself for example. Without Avalonstar, I would not have been encouraged to attend Webvisions 2006, where I would not have known Bryan, who would not have introduced me to Dan Rubin, who would not have had a casual conversation with me on a street corner in Portland that inspired me to take the risks that I am currently taking for my career.

Avalonstar accomplishes even more than you know, Bryan. Happy Birthday! Can't wait to see what you have in store for the site.

P.S. Keep up the great work on the podcast, boys!

And I'm Aquarius too - though I mostly associated it with water than air (since it's called "The Water Bearer" after all).

Don't get me wrong, I listened to the whole thing and enjoyed every minute of the conversation between Dan and Bryan. That being said, the closing song has me chair dancing as I type this and may be the highlight of a long day.

Well its sad, for me I wish I have heard your Pod cast 3 months ago, well my story goes here, I’m with a web development team, I can say I am the pioneer of the team since we are a group of 5, we started out as 3 then we got 2 programmers. its been a fruitful 3 years for me and we all are great bests of friends as we've been together day and night, but same story that you have Brian, opportunities calls me and its the greatest decision I have to deal with, I got a freelance jobs from Toronto then eventually told me that they would be hiring me for good. So I grab it because it’s a high paying job, and it’s a new experience for me since they are the kick ass in the web industry and I have learn new stuffs by working with them. But then I don’t know how to say it to my team. Then eventually I didn’t have the courage to confront them, I just left. Well a few weeks then I got to chat with them and its fine, they still move on and I do also. But I only wish that I could have done the right thing. Till now I haven’t seen them personally, though I wanted too, but I don’t know why. I think I’m not yet prepared. I have resigned from my 3 old jobs nicely, but in the case of my team, it’s the most difficult.

More power to you, and Keep up the great works guys!

I think I'm the only one that never used Frontpage. When I started learning HTML I didn't even know there was anything other than Notepad. That was probably a good thing because I learned HTML all on my own with the help view source and <a href="http://www.htmlgoodies.com" rel="nofollow">HTML Goodies</a>

My first website, believe it or not, is still up (from 1999). I was gonna post it but I just took a look at it and I decided not to because its embarrassing. It is on a topic that I don't even enjoy anymore fo the most part.

BTW: I believe Powertel and Voicestream turned into T-Mobile.

Anton: I disagree with them for the exact same reasons, I couldn't have said it better myself.

Bryan, you need to show the whole world how web professionals get down. Do it for all the designers around the world that have a non-geeky side. You should post Episode 13!

POST IT! POST IT! POST IT!

(don't post it if there is male nudity)

I'm going to disagree with you regarding the natural occurrence question, only because there's a angle I don't think that you guys really considered.

The development of the brain is a unique occurrence for each individual, with neural pathways growing in infinite patterns before a child is ever born. We're not all born with the same set of noodles. These patterns can form very particular tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses that although may not teach them how to use a pencil specifically, will cause one child to be curious about the object in question, where another child will only have the desire to smash it.

Humans have genetic and chaos-driven instincts that guide us in the roles we partake in. These instincts are a direct result of which parts of our brains have had a higher influence of development.

I suspect that creativity is much like intelligence, where you can train and guide existing prodigal skills, but it has to be there in the first place. Those born with lower-developmental regions will never really learn the skills in the same way that someone with a higher-aptitude would.

[...] Brian Veloso and Dan Rubin make an interesting decision: from now on they’ll try to convince all their clients to no longer fully support Internet Explorer. When foreced to support IE, they’ll not waste too much time writing hacks. If time permits, perhaps a whole different design could be made for IE. Jokingly, they suggest developers immediately drop support for IE altogher. [...]
