I’m happy to finally welcome you to the weekly run of Live From the 101. Hopefully this will be a weekly thing, with talks, interviews and more group podcasting fun for your listening pleasure. Today on episode five of Live From the 101, I’ll talk about the process of moving through your day job, getting exposed to opportunities, feeling the urge to try new things and finally moving on to them - without burning bridges. I’ll also allude to some past experiences of mine that follow this process and proving just how much of a cycle this is. Also note that I’m not always the prime example of footsteps to follow.
I’d love to hear your comments on the podcast, because it’s one of those that’s strictly out of the web arena. Also, if you have any ideas for future podcasts or would like to be a part of a future show; just let me know. Just make sure you have the right equipment.
Update: Kelsey Ruger wrote a great companion article. Obviously he makes the subject sound so much better than my try at it.

Well its sad, for me I wish I have heard your Pod cast 3 months ago, well my story goes here, I’m with a web development team, I can say I am the pioneer of the team since we are a group of 5, we started out as 3 then we got 2 programmers. its been a fruitful 3 years for me and we all are great bests of friends as we’ve been together day and night, but same story that you have Brian, opportunities calls me and its the greatest decision I have to deal with, I got a freelance jobs from Toronto then eventually told me that they would be hiring me for good. So I grab it because it’s a high paying job, and it’s a new experience for me since they are the kick ass in the web industry and I have learn new stuffs by working with them. But then I don’t know how to say it to my team. Then eventually I didn’t have the courage to confront them, I just left. Well a few weeks then I got to chat with them and its fine, they still move on and I do also. But I only wish that I could have done the right thing. Till now I haven’t seen them personally, though I wanted too, but I don’t know why. I think I’m not yet prepared. I have resigned from my 3 old jobs nicely, but in the case of my team, it’s the most difficult.
More power to you, and Keep up the great works guys!
