WILKINSON SWORD TROPHY 91 Kilmarnock v Irish Football League 50p
Following the clubs exploits in 2016, losing to Rosenborg after extra-time in the Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round tie the following season was a disappointment, even with the financial and organisational disparity between the sides. There was further disappointment in 2018 when three first half goals away to AEK Larnaca FC in the 2018/19 Europa League 2nd Qualifying Round ended Dundalks interest in that years competition at the second hurdle.
Sligo Rovers - Cork City: Win with more than 2 goals
For one season (1939/40), seeking a change of luck, the team wore a sky blue and maroon quartered shirt with white shorts and maroon socks. After that experiment the club returned to white shirts for the 1940/41 season, this time paired with black shorts and black socks (probably by coincidence, Dundalk Rovers had adopted white shirts with black shorts in 1906, wearing the combination for the first time in an Irish Junior Cup tie with Dundalk G.N.R. The first team 'Home' colours have remained essentially unchanged, although the club played in all-white for the 1973/74 and 2003 seasons and have also used all-white on occasion to avoid kit clashes.

Stephen Kenny's personal Roll of Honour at the club from 2013 to 2018: four League titles, two FAI Cups, two League of Ireland Cups and one Leinster Senior Cup.
With the takeover complete and the club saved, the new owners turned to Stephen Kenny - out of work since being sacked by Shamrock Rovers - to become the new manager. Kenny set about rebuilding the squad, with only four of the 32 players who made League appearances in 2012 retained. Kenny had a limited budget but a clear idea of how he wanted to shape his team. He focused on signing unheralded players from outside the top clubs and players who had been released, for example Richie Towell, who had been released by Glasgow Celtic, and Stephen O'Donnell, who had considerable success at Shamrock Rovers but was considering leaving the game. When the 2013 season started neither supporters nor pundits were sure what to expect, and Dundalk failed to win any of the first five home matches. But with Kenny's team clicking into gear as his ideas took hold, they rose up the table to the most unlikely of title challenges, eventually finishing second - three points behind St Patrick's Athletic.
